/Wednesday Ladies report 16 September 2026
The ladies played their final round of the Club Championships on a beautifully presented golf course. The weather was good—although a little chilly and breezy, at least it stayed dry.
Before we wrap up the championship results, 18 ladies played a stroke round sponsored by Rulcify's Gifts. Thank you to Karen and her team for their support.
The winner of the day, with a magnificent score of 100–35 = 65 nett, was the in-form Jan Milne. Congratulations, Jan! I think the handicapper may have knocked a stroke or two off with that score.
The ball rundown went to:
Lou Mudgway 108–35 = 73
Rosie Laughlin 109–35 = 74
Carol Dear 101–27 = 74
And holding up the leaderboard was Ange Morton—someone must, Ange!

Now to wrap up the 2026 Ladies Championships, played over the past three weeks. We had 15 starters—unfortunately a little lean on numbers, with several ladies away—but quality over quantity, they say!
Our Club Champion and A Grade Champion is OLIVE SPITTY, with rounds of 73, 72 and 77 for a total of 222 (handicap +1). This gives Olive seven consecutive Club Championship titles, and she is only 17 years of age. Huge congratulations, Olive—what an amazing achievement.
Runner-up was her younger sister, Mabel Spitty, with rounds of 74, 82 and 77 for a total of 233 (handicap 3). Congratulations, Mabel.
Our B Grade Champion is Shirley Jenner, with scores of 96, 94 and 101 for a total of 291 (handicap 22). Runner-up was Joanne Martin, with scores of 102, 102 and 99 for a total of 303 (handicap 22). Congratulations to you both.
This year's C Grade Champion is Jan Milne, who has been very consistent and has put a lot of time into her golf over the past year. Her hard work has been rewarded with scores of 111, 109 and 100 for a total of 320 (handicap 35). Well, done, Jan.
Runner-up in C Grade was Angela Giuozellis, with scores of 104, 110 and 113 for a total of 327 (handicap 31). Great work, Ange, considering you froze over the three weeks!
The Nett Champion for 2026 is Jan Milne with a total of 215, ahead of Meagan Taylor and Jan Harry on 220. The nett competition was a close race after the first two rounds, but Jan's magnificent final-round nett 65 saw her blitz the field in the end. Congratulations once again, Jan.
Thursday R & R Stableford 17 September 2026
30 Members played in great conditions with Ron Delamare winning the day with 41 points, Ball Pool went to P Lloyd 38, K Lane 37, P Hatton, B Gladman, J Tartaglia 36. Pen Award went to T Hall.
Saturday Stableford 19 September 2026
40 Members and guests played in great conditions, and it was Rhys Kings who was the day’s winner with 38 points, on a C/B from B Gladman, C Gray, J Robinson, D Gray and R Pay all 37, J Hewitt 36, P Hatton and R Delamare 35. NTP’s went to D Wood 3rd, K Lane 5th, P Jones 9th, R Pay 13th and R Kings 16th, Pen Award D Heffer.
