Ladies Golf – Wednesday Oct 9
It was a beautiful day for 12 ladies to play for the Chino’s Stableford round this week. The course was magnificent and there were no excuses for poor scores… apart from trees, water, channels, concentration and skill.
Ruth McAlister was victorious with 35 pts and was excited to get down to Chino’s to celebrate her victory. Thanks, Raelene, for your sponsorship! Runner up was our captain Michelle Dillon with 33pts on a countback from Lorraine Bray.
Carol Dear won the Chino’s coffee voucher on the 9th and Marg Learmonth collected June’s ntp on the 3rd with a sizzling stroke.
The hottest competition for the day was the coveted pen award. There were 5 out of luck golfers in hot contention but it was lucky Ronda Boulton who snagged it after a 3 way countback.
Next week we have everybody’s favorite game – par! Be there at 9.30 for 10am hit off.
The old folks enjoyed a fine weather day for golf with a big field of golfers thanks to 6 of our
visitors staying at the course joining in for the day. Ken Williams, one of our older lefties, had the
most enjoyable round and won the day with a great score of 40 pts. In the ball pool was Simon
Shanks 38pts, visitor Trevor Topp and Geoff Williams on 37pts and there were 3 on 36pts being Fred
O’Bryan, Don Maling, another visitor, and Kevin Sambrooks. The nearest the pins were on the 3 rd Bill
Downton, 5 th Don Maling, 9thBryan Delaney, 13 th Terry Tisdale and the 16 th went to Gary Thorne. Our
visitors enjoyed the course as all, but one won a ball.
First Saturday of the month and we played for the Medal and the big Dibba is coming into
fine form with club champs around the corner with a fine round of 78 off the stick to win with a nett

score of the day. In the ball pool was Ross Nesbit nett 66, Gav Teasdale and Don Ross nett 68, Doug
